TNF Havoc GTX Review

Causing HAVOC in Scotland – I have just come back from a two week trip in Scotland, a friend and me commandeered my parents camper van and drove round the whole coast. Stopping where we liked to go walking and sightseeing. But less about my rather good holiday and more about the ONE pair of shoes I took!!!

These new TNF Havoc shoes are brilliant. I was a bit skeptical; to be honest The North Face are not a company renowned for their excellent footwear, but these are seriously good.

What most impressed me about them is the stability. We did some pretty serious scrambling on the Cuillin ridge in Skye and they were great, plenty of grip and held my feet securely with little or no movement.

The protection they offer is also good for a light weight shoe, didnt feel sharp rocks through the soles and the rubber rand kept my toes protected. Oh, and they are waterproof.

These are my shoe of choice now, they are great in the mountains and also round the shop. Admittedly I’m pretty aggressive with them and they are looking worse for wear now with part of the rand peeling away, will have to get my seam grip out! But give these shoes a chance and you will be rewarded. So next time you in store try some on, and I can tell you all about my holiday to if you want!!!
